The 19th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Group of 20 (G20) will take place in November 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, marking Brazil's first term as the G20 rotating presidency as South America’s largest economy.

Ana Cristina Carvalho, Chair of the Tourism Association at Federation Chambers of Foreign Trade (FCCE) of Brazil, shared in an interview with China News Network that this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of Brazil-China diplomatic ties, has seen significant progress in bilateral relations. In particular, enhanced diplomatic relations have made travel between the two countries more accessible.

Ana further noted that this year’s G20 in Rio offers a comprehensive platform for participants to discuss topics such as health, education, and urban quality of life. 据介绍，十年间，义乌中欧班列年开行数量由初期的23列增长到目前的逾1100列，年运输货值由0.92亿美元提升至26.2亿美元，运输货物品类由近1万种增长到近5万种。出口货源结构从运行初期的小商品、日用百货、五金工具逐渐向汽车配件、智能家电、光伏组件、新能源汽车等高附加值、高科技产品转型，回程班列占比也由2014年的不足10%提升至目前的60.3%。
